1. Clear Line of Sight: The Starlink dish requires an unobstructed view of the sky. Use the Starlink smartphone app to scan for tree branches, tall concrete structures, or overhead wires that could interfere with the signal beam.
2. Choosing the Right Mount: Roof mounts are excellent for maximum height. If you have tile roofing, consider a custom side-wall pole mount anchored using masonry sleeves. For metal roofs, heavy-duty magnetic or clamp mounts provide secure, non-penetrating solutions.
3. Routing Cable Safe: Starlink cables have proprietary connectors. Avoid pinching or forcing the cable through small wall gaps. Keep the cable coiled cleanly in a weatherproof box at the building ingress point.
